Feed Conversion Ratio

In the context of aquaculture, the F.C.R. is calculated as follows: F.C.R. = Feed given / Animal weight gain.
In other words, the F.C.R. is the mathematical relationship between the input of the feed that has been fed and the weight gain of a population. The lower the F.C.R, the higher the weight gain obtained from the feed.

How many kilos are harvested in a batch of fish?

Likewise, the above formula allows calculating how many net kilos will be harvested in a given lot, having knowledge of the average conversion of the farm.

Example:
If the batch has consumed 20000 kilos of fish feed and the average conversion factor in the fish farm is 1.3333, then:
20000 k / 1,333 = 15000 k (net) will be harvested.
